Fantasia Overture Op.14 - Cyril Rootham

The first publication in the complete organ works of this neglected English composer has been prepared with the assistance of the Rootham family.

A spectacular tour de force for the advanced organist, this is the earliest known surviving work for the composers own instrument. Recognised as both a virtuoso performer and one of the leading musicians of his day this work is rooted in the English pastoral school of the early 20th century but with Rootham's individual twist in both form and harmony.
