The J.H. Lewis British Composer Archive

Named for the founder of Victoria College of Music, James Henry Lewis the archive is an independent research faculty under the aegis of Victoria College of Music dedicated to preserving and promoting the work of British composers of the Early Twentieth Century for study in digital format. Working in partnership with similar like minded institutions we hope to become a comprehensive reference for those interested in those composers not as well known today.

Formed in 2018 and currently under development we hope in time to provide links to composer sites, biographical information, scholarly writings, catalogues of works and where possible scores for study in digital form as well as means to provide print copies at very low cost.

The archive is administered by LMP on behalf of Victoria College of Music. Our research team can be viewed here.
